Re-Employment Age

Singapore’s Act on employee re-employment age

Key Information

From 1 July 2017, employers must offer re-employment age up to the age 67 (current age 65)

Qualifying Criteria/ Age Group

The eligibility criteria for re-employment up to age 67 for:

  • Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents.
  • Have served current employer for at least 3 years before turning 62.

Have satisfactory work performance, as assessed by employer.

  • medically fit to continue working.
  • born on or after 1 July 1952.
